CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago has lost a beloved pastor and music legend.
ABC7 has learned that Reverend Dr. Lena McLin has passed away.
Before becoming a pastor, McLin was one of the nation’s most prominent vocal instructors.
Among her legendary protégés are Jennifer Hudson, Chaka Khan and Mandy Patinkin. She also taught choir at Kenwood High School.
ABC7’s Samantha Chatman was one of her students.
Reverend Lena McLin was 95 years old.
