Republicans investigating the business dealings of the Biden family are seeking unredacted records from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) involving a ‘Robert L. Peters’ – which they contend is a pseudonym for “then Vice-President (Joe) Biden.”

The Hill reports the House Oversight Committee is seeking messages related to Ukraine and the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, on which Hunter Biden sat on the board.

The request comes as part of the Oversight Committee’s investigation into the foreign business dealings of the President’s son and his business associates.

“Joe Biden has stated there was ‘an absolute wall’ between his family’s foreign business schemes and his duties as Vice President, but evidence reveals that access was wide open for his family’s influence peddling,” House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) said in a statement accompanying his request to NARA.

“We already have evidence of then-Vice President Biden speaking, dining, and having coffee with his son’s foreign business associates,” he continued. “We also know that Hunter Biden and his associates were informed of then-Vice President Biden’s official government duties in countries where they had a financial interest.”

Comer said NARA “must provide these unredacted records to further our investigation into the Biden family’s corruption.”

GOP Seeking Records Involving Biden Pseudonym

The New York Post is reporting that as Vice-President, Biden used the email address “[email protected]” while an aide, John Flynn, cc’d Hunter on 10 emails containing the elder Biden’s daily schedule between May 18 and June 15, 2016.

Comer is also requesting emails that were sent or received from “Robin Ware” and “JRB Ware,” two other pseudonyms said used to be by the President. (Biden’s middle name is Robinette, thus his initials are JRB.)

President Biden has consistently insisted that he “never discussed with my son or my brother or anyone else anything having to do with their business, period.”

Constitutional law scholar Jonathan Turley writes that Biden’s use of ‘Robert L. Peters’ and the GOP inquiry into documents containing the pseudonym is a means of suggesting the President used these various false names in correspondence involving his son’s business associates.

“It is an interesting allegation and, if true, would add to a labyrinth of accounts used to conceal millions going to Biden family members,” Turley tweeted. “We previously knew Biden associates were told to avoid using his name.”

‘One Of The Greatest Corruption Scandals’ In Washington History

Turley recently responded to testimony by Hunter Biden’s business associate Devon Archer by declaring that President Biden has clearly been lying about his role in the lucrative business arrangements.

He called Biden’s influence peddling possibly “one of the greatest corruption scandals in the history of Washington.”

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy, after being ridiculed by the President for asking a “lousy question” about his involvement, said it’s clear the White House “(doesn’t) want to talk about this.”

“They’ve been taking a strategy where they want the attention to be on the Republican frontrunner. They want the attention to be on Trump in court,” Doocy said. “And they don’t want to be talking about possible legal problems for their side.”

Comer indicates he intends to subpoena members of the Biden family – including both Joe and Hunter – in the panel’s continuing investigation into their family’s influence-peddling business schemes.

Incidentally, ‘Robert Peters’ is similar to, and at least better than, the pseudonym Hunter allegedly used for his father.
