Swift’s Toronto shows run from Nov. 14 to 23, and so far there are no other Canadian tour dates. (Maybe Justin Trudeau could intervene again?) Ticket prices for Toronto have not yet been announced.

How to register for RBC Avion Rewards Taylor Swift tickets
RBC is the Eras Tour’s sponsor in Canada, and it is offering an “exclusive ticket allocation” to Avion Rewards members, though it declined to specify how many are available when MoneySense inquired. To take part, Avion Rewards members must register via Ticketmaster by midnight on Aug. 8 for a chance to receive an access code. Due to expected high demand and limited quantities, however, this won’t guarantee tickets. (But if you are one of the lucky ones chosen, you’ll receive an email from Ticketmaster on or before Aug. 15.)
Note, too, that the Avion Rewards ticket sale starts on Aug. 16, a full week after the “Verified Fan” on-sale date for which anyone can register, also via Ticketmaster (registration for this is open until 5 p.m. on Aug. 5), and that ticket pool will be much larger.
If you’re a diehard Swiftie and an Avion Rewards member, you may want to sign up for both. If you’re not yet an Avion Rewards member, you can sign up for free—it takes just a few minutes.
What is Avion Rewards?
Avion Rewards is RBC’s rewards program. Formerly known as RBC Rewards, this wide-ranging program allows members to redeem points for merchandise, travel, gift cards, investment products and more. It also partners with 2,400 online retailers for deals and cash back offers when using the Avion Rewards ShopPlus browser extension.
At the beginning of August, RBC opened up Avion Rewards and ShopPlus to all Canadians—not just RBC customers—by creating a new membership tier, Avion Rewards Select. It joins two other tiers, Avion Rewards Premium and Avion Rewards Elite, which are free to join for customers who have an eligible RBC credit card.
More credit card entertainment rewards
RBC’s Taylor Swift ticket offer is just the latest entertainment reward from Canada’s credit card providers. Depending on the card, you may have access to perks and rewards related to movies, live entertainment and more.
“Certain premium credit cards offer members exclusive access to concerts, sporting events and dining experiences,” says Natasha Macmillan, business director of everyday banking at Ratehub.ca. (Both Ratehub.ca and MoneySense.ca are owned by Ratehub Inc.) “American Express has long been the industry leader, but with increasing prices and demand for concerts and entertainment post-COVID-19, other providers are looking to increase their offerings and compete in this space.”
