The Oregon Cascades are under a winter storm warning until Monday.
PORTLAND, Oregon — Saturday was one last warm, dry day before rain falls again on Sunday. Portland reached a high of 57 degrees.
Southwest Washington will see rain first on Sunday morning. The system will then move south, bringing rain to the metro are around noon.
There’s a Wind Advisory for parts of the Columbia River Basin from 3pm Sunday until 3pm Monday. Sustained winds will range between 25-35 MPH with gusts reaching 55 MPH.
Look for heavy snow above 2,000 feet in the Cascades, where a Winter Storm Watch is up from Sunday afternoon until Monday afternoon. The Coast Range will also see some snow, but much less. Accumulations range from 1 to 4 inches.
Next week looks rainy and cool. Highs will be in the mid-40s before warming up to 50-degrees Wednesday.
