After 15 years making music, and almost 10 years as the leader of BTS, RM has finally dropped his official debut album! Indigo, as described by its creator, is the last archive of his twenties, that reads like a diary of his life between 2019 and the present. Fused with a blend of genres and sprinkled with a number of collabs, no two songs are the same. Honestly, hand on heart, we can say this feels like the most “Namjoon” his work has ever been, and we are so proud!
With RM being so talented, there’s a plethora of thought-provoking lyrics that truly resonate with listeners, both ARMY or casual. They themselves are artwork, just like what inspired the rapper for this record, and deserve to be preserved for a lifetime.
So much so, in fact, that while listening to this album nonstop, we’ve decided to get our creative mode on and have designed some tattoos inspired by lyrics from Indigo! And we thought we’d give them to you! RM shares where best to listen to this album: while taking a walk, showering, driving, pausing for a coffee break, working, dancing, reading a book, where flowers bloom or fall. That got us thinking: It’s the ultimate album for Namjooning!
Namjooning is a term RM once used on Weverse, which ARMY then coined as a verb – according to its Urban Dictionary entry, Namjooning is “the act of living as Kim Namjoon. This includes talking walks through parks, admiring nature, hanging out with crabs, and having fun with friends.”
We’ve combined these two concepts and have created this quiz. It’s pretty simple really: plan a day of Namjooning, and we’ll reward you with a tattoo inspired by Indigo.
