Just hear those sleigh bells jingling … because Christmas is almost here! With only days remaining until Christmas Eve, now is the time to start making your grocery list and checking it twice — especially if you have plans to host a dinner or party this holiday season.

While you are bound to head to the grocery store to get everything you need well in advance of the big day, you certainly wouldn’t be the first to run out of the essentials, like eggs, milk, and sugar, at the last minute. Before you head to Publix in a pinch on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, you’ll want to be aware of the store’s hours to help ensure your last-minute errands go off without a hitch.

What Are Publix’s Christmas Hours?

Every year Christmas Eve is celebrated on December 24, and this year the holiday falls on a Sunday, and Christmas Day follows on Monday, December 25. Publix will open its doors for regular store hours on Christmas Eve and most locations will close at 7 p.m., although hours will likely vary from store to store, so you’ll want to check with your local Publix for store-specific information. On Christmas Day, however, Publix will be closed. The store will reopen and resume business as usual on Tuesday, December 26.

Publix is beloved not only for its wide assortment of grocery items, but also for its wealth of prepared foods, including its made-to-order subs. If you’re planning to visit Publix for the first time this holiday season, there are a handful of things you should know before you go, not the least of which is that Publix’s bakery is not to be missed.
