Prince Philipp of Prussia and Aline von Alvensleben were married on August 9, 2025, in Tréguier, Brittany. The groom, 39, is the youngest of three sons of Prince Adalbert of Prussia and Eva Maria Küdicke.
The bride, who was born in 1988, is the daughter of Konstantine von Alvensleben and Cécilie Str
unden.
The religious ceremony took place in 15th-century St. Tugdual Cathedral in Tréguiuer. Although the cathedral is Roman Catholic, the wedding service was Lutheran, as the priest “willingly made the church available to the bride and groom.”
It was not a surprise that the couple chose Brittany for their wedding. Aline’s parents own property near the Brittany coast. Her maternal grandmother, Anne Sarton de Jonchay, is French.
The couple’s civil wedding took place on September 27, 2024, in Hamburg, which was followed by a dinner reception at Wallter’s Bistro & Kontro, which is owned by Prince Philip, his twin brother, Prince Christian, and Count Marcus Caspar zu Stolberg-Wernigerode.
Princess Aline wore the Prussian Cloverleaf tiara, which Kaiser Wilhelm designed himself and gave to his wife, Empress Auguste Viktoria, as a Silver Wedding anniversary in 1906. The taira, which has not been seen for at least six decades, was last worn by Princess Kira of Prussia (Grand Duchess Kira of Russia), the wife of the head of the Prussian Royal House, Prince Louis Ferdinand.
