UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — The Prince George’s County Council is slated to meet virtually Monday morning to appoint a replacement in the wake of Council Member Calvin Hawkins’ resignation.
Officials say that county code dictates that ta majority of the remaining council members appoint a qualified replacement in the event of a vacancy.
Hawkins announced his resignation Dec. 19.
