The highly anticipated Western crime saga “Killers of the Flower Moon,” directed by Martin Scorsese and featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, will have its exclusive theatrical premiere in partnership with Paramount Pictures on October 18. Following its theatrical release, the film will be available for global streaming on Apple TV+.
Set at the turn of the 20th century, “Killers of the Flower Moon” depicts the Osage Nation’s sudden wealth due to the oil industry, making them some of the richest individuals in the world. This newfound fortune attracted the attention of opportunistic outsiders who sought to exploit and steal the Osage’s wealth through manipulation, extortion, and ultimately, murder. Based on a true story, the film follows the unlikely love story between Ernest Burkhart, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio, and Mollie Kyle, played by Lily Gladstone. Within this epic Western crime saga, the themes of genuine love intertwine with unimaginable betrayal. The movie also features Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons, with Martin Scorsese directing the film from a screenplay co-written by Eric Roth and Martin Scorsese, based on the bestselling book by David Grann.
“Killers of the Flower Moon” is a collaborative production involving Apple Studios, Imperative Entertainment, Sikelia Productions, and Appian Way. The film has a team of esteemed producers including Martin Scorsese, Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, and Daniel Lupi.
