Brentford play host to Manchester United in Saturday’s early kick-off with the two games between these two last season generating nine goals in a win apiece.
Manchester United gained a welcome 2-1 Premier League home victory against Chelsea last weekend and Ruben Amorim’s men are hoping to follow up with a win at Brentford.
The Bees beat United 4-3 at the end of last season although Amorim had rested several senior players for that game as he prepared for the Europa League final against Tottenham.
Saturday’s fixture is a significant one for United forward Bryan Mbeumo, who scored 20 league goals for Brentford in 2024-25 before his £71m summer move to Old Trafford.
The Bees also sold key men Yoane Wissa and Christian Norgaard while manager Thomas Frank left for Tottenham and his successor Keith Andrews has picked up four points from his first five matches in charge.
We have selected an 11/1 bet builder for Saturday’s clash at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Bees can extend United’s struggles on the road
Manchester United made hard work of last weekend’s home win over Chelsea, whose goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was sent off in the first five minutes at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils’ only other victory this season came when Bruno Fernandes scored an injury-time penalty to see off Burnley 3-2 and they look vulnerable favourites at Brentford.
United have won just two of their last 15 games away from Old Trafford, including last season’s Europa League final defeat to Spurs and this term’s EFL Cup exit at fourth-tier Grimsby.
Brentford are still finding their feet under rookie boss Keith Andrews and they were disappointing in last weekend’s 3-1 loss at Fulham.
But their last two home fixtures produced a 2-2 league draw with Chelsea and a penalty-shootout win over Aston Villa in the EFL Cup and they can avoid defeat against Amorim’s poor travellers.

Schade should shine for the hosts
Brentford forward Kevin Schade scored twice in May’s 4-3 win over Manchester United and he shoulders even more responsibility for the Bees after the sales of Mbeumo and Wissa.
Schade is expected to start up front alongside Igor Thiago in a 3-5-2 formation and he should get chances against a shaky United defence.
The German attacker claimed 11 league goals at a rate of one every 209 minutes in last season’s Premier League and he scored with one of his four shots against Chelsea in the Bees’ last home league fixture.

Lively wing-back poses a threat to Brentford goal
Manchester United could unleash their new-look front three of Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko at Brentford but wing-backs Amad Diallo and Patrick Dorgu also play important attacking roles.
Amad’s goal threat is no secret but Dorgu looks underrated in the player-shots market and backing him to have two or more attempts is the final leg of our Bet Builder.
The Danish left-back had two shots against Arsenal on the opening weekend and another two in United’s 3-0 derby defeat at Manchester City.
Dorgu averaged 1.7 shots per game for Lecce in Serie A last season before his January move to United and he had three efforts at goal in just 26 minutes for Denmark in this month’s World Cup qualifier against Greece.
Leg 3: Patrick Dorgu to have 2+ shots @ 15/8
