The Powerball drawing on Monday night will have a $785 million jackpot, the fourth-largest grand prize in Powerball history.
Saturday night’s drawing was the 28th in a row with no grand prize winner. The white balls were 1, 12, 20, 33, 66 and the Powerball number was 21.
If someone wins Monday night’s drawing and chooses to receive their money as an immediate cash payment, they will take home $367 million, according to Powerball.
No one has won the Powerball jackpot since July 19, when a ticket-buyer in California won the third-largest prize in Powerball history, $1.08 billion.
The biggest win in Powerball history came in November 2022 when Edwin Castro won $2.04 billion. That was also the biggest lottery win in American history. The second-largest Powerball grand prize, $1.59 billion, was won in January 2016 and split between three people.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. The lottery also pays out many smaller prizes. One lucky ticket holder in Michigan won $2 million in Saturday night’s drawing for matching all five white balls.
