Police in Fairfax County have arrested a Maryland man after a woman was found stabbed to death in Annandale.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A Maryland man is in custody after a woman was found stabbed to death in an Annandale street Friday night.
Fairfax County police began investigating after a witness discovered the victim lying dead in the 3900 block of Terrace Drive.
When they arrived, they found the woman deceased with what they described as “trauma to the upper body.”
Police have since identified the victim as 26-year-old Isha Koroma of Alexandria.
Investigators believe that the victim and the suspect — 42-year-old Musa Kargbo — knew each other.
With the help of Prince George’s County police, Kargbo was taken into custody Saturday morning in Lanham.
Once he’s been extradited to Virginia, Kargbo will be charged with second-degree murder, police say.
