A 61-year-old man died in a hit-and-run while fixing a tire on Bruceville Road in Elk Grove, police say.
ELK GROVE, Calif. — A man died in a hit-and-run crash in Elk Grove, according to the Elk Grove Police Department.
Police said a 61-year-old man was fixing a flat tire along Bruceville road when was he struck by a Dodge pickup truck.
The suspect vehicle is likely to have damage on the front passenger side, police said.
The investigation prompted road closures along a stretch of Bruceville Road in both directions. Police said Bruceville Road is closed between Bilby Road and Boa Nova Drive.
Police said roads should be clear within the hour.
