CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A person was seriously injured in a stabbing in southeast Charlotte early Tuesday morning, police said. 

The incident happened along Central Avenue, near the Shadowood Apartments around 1:30 a.m. The victim was stabbed multiple times by an unknown attacker, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police

The victim was taken to Novant Presbyterian Hospital with life-threatening injuries, Medic. said. 

CMPD hasn’t announced any arrests and detectives haven’t released any suspect information at this time. Anyone with information about this stabbing or any other incident is asked to call Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
