Four people were injured in a shooting Friday evening at the annual Concord Christmas tree lighting ceremony, police said.

The 7:30 p.m. shooting ended the event. The shooting was at Union Street South near Corban Avenue.

Further details were not yet available.

The ceremony was to run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and featured children’s activities, performances and events downtown.
