Patchy dense fog development is expected late Sunday, Sept. 14, through the overnight hours in east central, south central and southeast Wisconsin.
The National Weather Service advises slowing down and using low beam headlights if driving in dense fog as well as allowing for extra stopping distance between vehicles.
Sept. 15 through Sept. 18, Milwaukeeans can expect clear skies, with a slight chance of a rainy weekend to follow, according the National Weather Service.
Forecasters expect it to be warm and sunny through Thursday, Sept. 18, with highs around 80.
There’s a roughly 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms the evening of Sept. 18 and those storms could carry into the following day, 20% chance of precipitation on Friday, Sept. 19.
The slightly better chance for storms are the evening of Sept. 19 into Saturday, Sept. 20 — as much as a 30% chance.
The evening of Sept. 20 into Sept. 21, the chance of showers will drop back down to 20%.
Temperatures are expected to drop into the low and mid 70s over the weekend.
