Passenger robbed, beat on CTA Red Line train near Loop station: Police

Chicago police are searching for a group of people accused of robbing a beating a CTA passenger on a Wednesday morning.

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police are searching for a group of people accused of robbing and beating a CTA passenger on a Wednesday morning.

The crime happened on Aug. 13 at about 7 a.m. on a Red Line train near the State/Lake Station in the Loop, police said.

Police said a group approached a victim, beat them and then took their property.

CPD released surveillance images of the suspects on the train.
