HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – This weekend, Holyoke’s Paper City Food Festival is spotlighting local businesses while supporting a special cause: helping Gracie Gianna Falcon, a four-year-old battling B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
The festival, hosted by Nueva Esperanza Inc., includes a fundraising walk for Gracie, which began on Suffolk Street. Community members gathered to participate, showing their support for Gracie and her family.
“We like to impact families directly, so seeing we can raise this money and give it directly to the family and see how we can help them is the best part of this festival,” said Juan Uribe, organizer of the Paper City Food Festival.
Gracie’s family contributed to the fundraising efforts by selling ‘Gracie Strong’ hoodies featuring a Bible verse on the back. All proceeds from the hoodie sales are directed towards Gracie’s family to assist with medical bills, travel expenses, and daily needs.
The Paper City Food Festival not only highlights Holyoke businesses but also brings the community together to support Gracie in her fight against leukemia. Through events like the walk and hoodie sales, the festival aims to provide meaningful assistance to Gracie and her family.
