The recall was issued Nov. 26, 2025. Nearly 201,000 stoves were sold at Walmart in-store and online between March 2023 and October 2025.
WASHINGTON — More than 200,000 Ozark Trail Tabletop camping stoves were recalled after 26 reports of them exploding and injuring 16 people.
The stoves, called “Ozark Trail Tabletop 1-Burner Butane Camping Stoves,” have model number BG2247A1, according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recall was issued Nov. 26, 2025. Nearly 201,000 stoves were sold at Walmart in-store and online between March 2023 and October 2025. They ranged in price between $8 to $45.
The camping stoves are dark green and have an orange “Ozark Trail” logo printed on the front. The model number is printed on the inside of the fuel compartment, according to the recall.
The recall came after at least 16 people reported injuries like second degree burns and a total of 26 reports came in about the stoves exploding or catching fire. It’s unclear what caused the issue.
The CPSC urged people to stop using the stove immediately and take it into Walmart for a refund.
Though the recall was issued in November, the CSPC said there are “usually no end date to a product recall.”
