Overturned big rig shuts down several I-10 East Freeway lanes before Hardy, Mckee Street

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Crews are working to clean up the aftermath of a crash involving an 18-wheeler along the East Freeway on Wednesday morning.

The crash was reported just after 3 a.m. on I-10 East before Hardy and McKee Street.

Houston TranStar cameras show the big rig overturned, and several eastbound lanes were shut down as a result.

An ABC13 photojournalist on scene says the truck was moved to a nearby ramp, but the eastbound lanes are still closed.

Drivers can take Washington as an alternate route.
