Royal Vengeance is the third and final book in the Royal Blood trilogy, following shortly after the enigmatic ending of Royal Scandal. It reimagines the modern-day British monarchy and follows Evangeline Bright, the King’s illegitimate daughter.

After narrowly escaping assassination attempts and treasonous accusations in book two, Evan is prepared to clear her name and catch the people responsible for terrorizing her and her family. The stakes are even higher in Royal Vengeance, and we’re here to give you just three of our favorite things about it!

Summary: Evangeline Bright has only one shot to prove she isn’t a traitor: by finding the real mastermind behind the plot that almost killed her father, the King of England.

With the help of Kit, her steadfast boyfriend, Evan must find a way to outsmart the real threat to the throne no matter the cost, because the deadliest enemy the monarchy has faced in over a century is back with a vicious vengeance. And Evan soon uncovers the reason why.

A scandal so huge that if it ever becomes public, it will tear the monarchy apart.

To protect her loved ones, Evan must silence her enemies for good—because if the truth gets out, it won’t just shatter the monarchy. It’ll shatter Evan’s entire family.

Evan’s Ups & Downs

First off, Evan really goes through it in Royal Vengeance. (After all, she’s the main character!) As if being deemed a traitor and fugitive by the news weren’t enough, she’s also targeted by an antimonarchist group. Evan knows that her cousin, Prince Ben, is involved somehow. But she doesn’t have enough solid evidence to accuse him. And with the amount of sway and resources he has, Evan can’t seem to pin him down. It doesn’t help when her relationship with Kit goes through a rough patch or two either.

Layers Of Royal Secrets

Palace intrigue and a dysfunctional family makes for great reading in Royal Vengeance. We thought we saw it all with the scandalous affair between two royals in the first two books. But that was really just the tip of the iceberg! Royal secrets abound in this book, and everything comes to light eventually. Agreements from decades past get tested. And Evan’s father, King Alexander, must keep the royal family’s status secure amidst speculation, conspiracies, and even the truth.

The Final Face-Off

Another one of our favorite things about Royal Vengeance is the culmination of everyone’s efforts. Even when Evan finds some much-needed evidence, she still needs a plan to corner Ben. After months of his banishment and weeks of strategizing and training, the royal family and MI5 have just the plan. The final showdown between Evan and Ben is so gratifying to read. You can trust us not to spoil the ending. Let’s just say Ben gets his comeuppance after all the schemes he’s pulled.

With a tumultuous plot and an abundance of royal secrets, Aimée Carter’s Royal Vengeance gives us an epic and satisfying conclusion to the Royal Blood series!
