Orlando claimed the top spot in meetings technology company Cvent’s list of top destinations in 2022 for meetings and events in North America, followed by Nashville, the company announced Tuesday.
In Europe, London was named the No. 1 destination for meetings and events, followed by Barcelona. Singapore took the first in Asia-Pacific, followed by Sydney. As for the Middle East and Africa, Dubai ranked first for meetings and events, followed by Istanbul.
Cvent’s list was devised based on destinations listed within the company’s Cvent Supplier Network sourcing platform for the full year 2022. Cvent evaluated more than 12,500 cities globally and ranked each based on total room nights booked, the number of unique electronic requests for proposals sent through the marketplace to venues within a given city, the total value of RFPs submitted and the actual number of booked meetings. In 2022, more than $14 billion was sourced through Cvent’s sourcing network, the company said in a statement.
This is the first list of its kind from Cvent since before the pandemic, with the last announced in 2019.
