- Novo Nordisk’s (NVO) blockbuster weight loss therapy Wegovy (semaglutide), which has been plagued by supply shortages, is now readily available, except for one dosage strength.
- The medication comes in five dosage strengths. The one still in shortage is the lowest dosage.
- In addition, Ozempic, which also contains semaglutide but is approved for type 2 diabetes, is also available in all dosages.
- On Aug. 2, the U.S. FDA announced that all strengths of Eli Lilly’s (LLY) rival weight loss drug, Zepbound (tirzepatide), were available, ending its own supply shortage.
