NorCal deputies recover more than $27,000 in stolen Ross, Burlington merchandise

(FOX40.COM) — Law enforcement in California recovered more than $27,000 in stolen Ross and Burlington stores’ merchandise on Friday.

According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, detectives with Riverbank Police Services successfully disrupted a large-scale retail theft operation that had been targeting businesses and communities throughout California.

On Friday, deputies served two search warrants and six arrest warrants at two separate locations in Modesto. The coordinated operation resulted in the recovery of thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise, along with a firearm linked to the illegal activity.

Law enforcement said they recovered $17,020.47 in Ross merchandise and $10,304.79 in Burlington merchandise. The total amount recovered was $27,325.26.

Six individuals were arrested and face multiple charges related to the retail theft operation.

“Retail theft will not be tolerated in Stanislaus County,” SCSO said. “Through these efforts, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to eliminating retail theft and protecting the safety and well-being of our community.”
