Durham and Wake County fire departments are responding to a large house fire in eastern Durham County early Wednesday morning.
The call came in around 5:30 a.m. Sky 5 flew over a large structure fire that seems to have engulfed the entire home on Kemp Road off N.C. Highway 98.
Video shows two pillars, a chimney and some of its foundation remain standing as crews worked to put out the fire.
Smoke billowed across the area and could be seen even miles up in the air from Sky 5’s aerials.
Fire officials on the scene no one was injured and no one was home at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
