CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) — In light of the Christmas season, the babies at UNC Health Rex’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) were dressed in Christmas costumes.
Nurses dressed the little ones in Christmas costumes like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, gingerbread, a snowman, a Christmas tree, Santa Claus, and more.
The adorable costumes were a way to lift parents’ spirits, since they will spend the holiday at the hospital with their babies.
Premature infants can spend days, weeks and sometimes months in the NICU.
