New listings rose above 2023 volumes for the tenth straight week in 2024, according to the Weekly Activity Snapshot from the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR).

Realtors added 3,394 properties to the MLS during the week, a 16.6% increase over the same week in 2023, when 2,912 properties were added. New listings have yet to experience an annual decline in 2024.

Pending and closed listings dropped during the week. Pending listings fell 5.8%, with 2,344 properties going under contract; closings fell 4.7%, with 1,589 homes sold.

However, listing views on HAR.com increased by 12.9% year over year, suggesting strong consumer demand in the coming weeks and months.
