JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) — A Johnston County father is charged with murder after allegedly killing all but one of his children.
On Monday at 10:09 p.m., Johnston County 911 got a call from Wellington Delano Dickens III, who lives in Zebulon.
Dickens allegedly told 911 he had killed his children.
Johnston County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the address on Springtooth Drive.
Dickens told deputies his 3-year-old son was alive inside the house and 4 of his other children were dead inside the trunk of a car in the garage.
An investigation discovered multiple bodies inside the trunk in the garage. Deputies determined the remains had been there for a long period of time. According to court documents, the crime happened in May.
JCSO investigators believe Dickens killed three of his biological children and his stepchild. They have been identified as:
- Sean Brassfield, 18 (Stepchild)
