Officials say they were called to the 400 block of Kerr Avenue just after 3 p.m. Friday on reports of a “verbal argument and shots fired.”

MODESTO, Calif. — The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man killed following a confrontation as 46-year-old Bryan Tenbrink.

Law enforcement says Tenbrink was fatally shot in Modesto Friday afternoon.

Officials say they were called to the 400 block of Kerr Avenue just after 3 p.m. Friday on reports of a “verbal argument and shots fired.” 

A bystander put the victim in their car and drove them to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
