(FOX40.COM) — A Northern California family has been found safe after they were reported missing on their way to meet relatives at a campground near Bassetts.

According to the Rocklin Police Department, the family was believed to be in a silver 2005 Toyota Sequoia traveling from Rocklin to the Salmon Creek Campground near Bassetts to meet their family, but they did not arrive.
On Saturday morning, RPD updated its social media post stating that the family has been found safe.
“A heartfelt thank you to all the assisting agencies whose dedication and teamwork made this possible: California Highway Patrol, Placer County Sheriff’s Office, Truckee Police, and the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office,” RPD said.
