(FOX40.COM) — A massive fire in San Joaquin County destroyed a commercial building and prompted a heavy response from local emergency agencies.
Early Sunday morning, the Lodi Fire Department said it responded to a fire along the 700 block of North Sacramento Street. When crews arrived at the scene they found a commercial building consumed by fire.
Officials said a “defensive operation was established to protect surrounding buildings.” The fire grew to a four-alarm, which brought in mutual aid resources from the Woodbridge Fire District, Waterloo Morada Fire District, Mokelumne Rural Fire District, and Stockton Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported. Anyone with information on the incident is advised by law enforcement to contact them at (209) 333-6739.
