Marriott International is reshaping its management structure amid two recent executive departures, promoting Drew Pinto to executive VP and chief revenue and technology officer and Peggy Fang Roe to executive VP and chief customer officer, the company announced. All appointments are effective immediately.

In his new appointment, Pinto will lead “sales, revenue management, distribution channels, digital and information technology” for Marriott, the company said in a statement. Pinto’s new role is a promotion from his previous role of global officer for global sales, distribution and revenue management.

As for Roe, in her role as EVP and chief customer officer, she will be responsible for “developing and executing key aspects of the company’s global consumer strategy, including evolving our portfolio of brands, the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program, and developing the end-to-end customer experience using data, AI, and innovation to fuel future growth,” the company said. Both Roe and Pinto have been with the company for two decades. Roe steps into the role from her previous title of global officer for customer experience, loyalty and new ventures.

Other executive-level appointments in Marriott’s restructuring include Tina Edmundson as president of luxury and Yibing Mao as president of Greater China. Moa is returning to the company after stepping down from her previous role as senior VP and chief legal counsel for Asia-Pacific in 2020.

Additionally, Marriott’s current CFO Leeny Oberg “will lead the company’s Global Development organization” and gain the additional title of EVP of development.

Former Marriott president Stephanie Linnartz stepped down to join Under Armour as president and CEO, effective Feb. 24, and president of international Craig Smith was set to retire “this month,” following a 35-year career with Marriott, CEO Anthony Capuano said during an earnings call. Capuano has added the role of president to his title.
