Marriott International president Stephanie Linnartz on Feb. 24, 2023, will step down from the company after 25 years to join Under Armour as president and CEO, the company announced Wednesday.

Linnartz joined Marriott in 1997 and has been the company’s president since 2021. As president, the company said she led its global consumer strategy and its global development organization.

Linnartz “played a pivotal role during Marriott’s acquisition of Starwood Hotels & Resorts. … Under her leadership, the company combined the Marriott and Starwood loyalty programs to create the world’s largest hospitality loyalty program, Marriott Bonvoy,” according to the company. 

Marriott has yet to announce a replacement.
