A Good Samaritan was stabbed while trying to stop a cellphone robbery near Columbus Circle.
HELLS KITCHEN, Manhattan (WABC) — A Good Samaritan was stabbed as he tried to stop a robbery early Saturday morning in Manhattan.
The 39-year-old man was on 58th Street and 9th Avenue when he saw another man stealing a woman’s cellphone around 1 a.m.
The man intervened, at which point, the thief turned and stabbed him in the abdomen. He is currently in stable condition.
The woman was not injured.
The thief got away with the phone.
