Man hospitalized after being shot in stomach in Arden-Arcade area

A man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being shot in the stomach in Arden-Arcade, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office says.

ARDEN-ARCADE, Calif. — A man is hospitalized after he was shot in the stomach in the Arden-Arcade area Friday night. 

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said a call came in after 8:15 p.m. about a shooting at the 2400 block of Marconi Avenue. 

Officials said the man was shot once in the torso. He was taken to the hospital for life-threatening injuries, but his condition is unknown, the sheriff’s office said. 

The sheriff’s office said a search is underway for a suspect. Officials did not share any information on a suspect or events that led up to the shooting. 

No guns were found at the scene.
