A 36-year-old man was shot in cold blood inside a Harlem smoke shop Sunday night, the latest in a series of crimes at establishments selling smoking products, according to police.
Disturbing video viewed by the Daily News shows the victim standing at a counter inside the store, called just Smoke Shop, with several other men milling around behind him a little before 8 p.m.
He appears to exchange words with another man. After turning his back on him to leave, the second man abruptly pulls out a gun and shoots him in the neck area.
The victim is seen falling face down on the floor as others inside the store scramble for the exit and one witness springs behind the counter. As the victim struggles to get up, the shooter walks toward him and blasts him again, leaving his target’s body motionless.
The killer is then seen reaching into one of the victim’s pockets before the video ends.
The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name was not immediately released.
Neither he nor the shooter worked at the store, cops said.
Two shell casings were recovered from the scene on Lenox Ave. near W. 125th St., they added.
The cause of the shooting was not immediately known.

It was not immediately known whether the store where Sunday’s shooting took place sold pot.
But since the state legalized recreational marijuana, shootings and robberies at city smoke shops have prompted growing concern from New Yorkers and elected officials.
Last month, a 20-year-old man was fatally shot inside a Queens smoke shop selling marijuana products.
Days later, a Lower Manhattan smoke shop worker was pepper-sprayed and punched by a shoplifter.
Recent months have seen authorities struggle with stores selling pot without one of the state’s few licenses to do so.
In February, Mayor Adams and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg threatened unlicensed shops with eviction.
