Operation Folsom Blues 3.0, a coordinated narcotics-enforcement mission, uncovered methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, illegal guns, and several people involved in its possession or distribution, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office. It was executed from Sept. 18-19 by ECSO and the district attorney’s office. The operation was set up on the West Slope and in the South Lake Tahoe Basin.
“The goal of the operation was to disrupt narcotics distribution, recover crime guns, and reduce overdose and violence risk through coordinated warrants, targeted compliance checks, and interdiction guided by shared real-time intelligence,” ECSO said in a statement. “Both the Sheriff and the District Attorney view this operation as a success, and they emphasized that the results send a direct warning to drug traffickers”:”
According to ECSO, Operation Folsom Blues resulted in the seizure of:
• 10 firearms
• Methamphetamine (157.2 g)
• Fentanyl (11.5 g)
• Cocaine (14.3 g)
Additionally, 26 people were arrested.
“Folsom Blues 3.0 reminds drug dealers that if you plan to traffic illicit narcotics, you are not welcome in El Dorado County,” said El Dorado County District Attorney Vern Pierson.
El Dorado County Sheriff Jeff Leikauf said drug dealers should watch their backs.
“If you try to deal illegal narcotics in El Dorado County, you don’t know who you’re selling to—and you should always be looking over your shoulder,” Leikauf said.
