Loews Hotels & Co. will promote Alex Tisch to president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2023, the company announced Monday.

Alex Tisch will take over the role from his uncle, Jonathan Tisch, who will become executive chairman next year. Alex Tisch joined Loews in 2017 and became president of the company in 2020—a title he will retain after adding the title of CEO.

After the transition, Jonathan Tisch will remain co-chairman of the board and a member of the office of the president, and the two will “continue to work closely,” according to the company.
