Lodi Grape Festival 2025 is in full swing this weekend

(FOX40.COM) — Day two of the 2025 Lodi Grape festival is in full swing, and organizers said tens of thousands are expected to come out over the weekend.

The annual festival, which is now more than 8 decades old, has become a tradition for many across California.

Lines formed early on Friday as families and wine lovers geared up for a variety of food, rides, and tastings.

Vendors are serving up classic fair food, including funnel cakes, bacon-wrapped hot dogs, and seasonal fruit, while some enjoyed the popular wine slushies to cool down in the heat.

Inside the Grape Pavilion, murals and competitive displays drew large crowds and had heads turning. The murals were created to raise money for scholarships, and others brought in their home-grown fruits and vegetables, proving that something as simple as winning 1st place for a large zucchini is a joyous and memorable achievement.

But many attendees said they were also there to make new memories. The festival attracted attendees from as far as Los Angeles and other parts of Northern California.

This year’s event includes carnival rides, games, live music, with headline acts scheduled throughout the weekend, and of course, pony rides that kept smiles on faces all day.

The Lodi Grape Festival runs until Sept. 14. It’s open from 12 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
