A lockdown at UNC Hospitals has been lifted.
On Sunday, officials with UNC Health said they received reports of a possible safety threat to the UNC Hospitals on their Chapel Hill campus. The hospital briefly went on lock down out of an abundance of caution to make sure patients, teammates, and visitors were safe, officials said.
Officials with UNC Health said police confirmed there was no threat to the hospital and the lockdown was lifted within minutes at 7:36 p.m.
