“Unity” ushers in a new sound for the Wakaan label boss, who explores downtempo and ambient electronic music through five new tracks.

After dropping the project’s ragga-influenced lead single “Smoke N Hope” in December, Liquid Stranger has revealed his brand new EP, Unity.

Out today via Wakaan’s SSKWAN imprint, Unity ushers in a new sound for the label boss and producer, who explores downtempo and ambient electronic music through the EP’s five tracks. With its rhythmic cadence and melodic sensibilities, Unity is a stark contrast to Liquid Stranger’s wobbly, high-energy bass anthems, like those found in 2022’s DIMENSIONS EP.

Take a listen to Unity in-full below.

By releasing his new EP on SSKWAN, Liquid Stranger was able to dial in an intentional focus on many sub-genres within the freeform bass world, which he’s deeply passionate about.

“Progressing these genres that I hold so dear to my heart is something I’m extremely passionate about. The majority of music I create is downtempo, ambient, chill-out, experimental, electronica and the world needs more of it in general,” Liquid Stranger recently wrote on social media. “These genres are healing and have power, which is why I wanted to create SSKWAN and give these songs a place to shine.”
