Laura Reathaford is a distinguished employment litigator and a driving force behind Lathrop GPM’s California-based Labor and Employment practice. Since joining the firm in 2019, Reathaford has led the group from the Los Angeles office, where she was appointed partner in charge in January 2023.
Reathaford is nationally recognized for her expertise in high-stakes employment cases, particularly wage and hour class and collective actions, with a strong focus on California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). She has litigated hundreds of these cases, often involving novel legal theories and significant implications for employers. She defends clients in enforcement actions that test the boundaries of California labor laws, such as the applicability of the Grocery Workers Retention Act.
