More than 40 police units were dispatched to North Dallas High School on Tuesday morning, Jan. 6.

More than 40 police units were dispatched to North Dallas High School on Tuesday morning.

The Dallas Morning News first reported that the large police response to the Uptown school, located at 3120 N. Haskell Ave., started shortly before 8 a.m.

It’s not clear why police responded to the school. The Dallas Police Department did not immediately respond to the Star-Telegram’s request for more information.

Tuesday was the first day back for Dallas Independent School District students after winter break.
