LAKELAND, Fla. — City police said Tuesday that one of two suspects in connection with a shooting that left two people dead has turned himself in.


Kevarius Green turned himself into the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, alongside his attorney, a few minutes before noon. Police didn’t release further information.

The second suspect, Demarius Wilson, is still being sought.

“He is considered armed and dangerous and has ties to the Lakeland, Plant City and Orlando areas,” police said in a news release.

According to Lakeland police, the shooting happened March 11 just after 6:30 p.m. at the Cambridge Cove Apartment Homes just off Kathleen Road in Lakeland.

The victims included 3-year-old Jaquez Norton.
