Kim Kardashian teases upcoming ‘American Horror Story’ from set

Kim Kardashian is teasing her avidly awaited season on “American Horror Story,” but amid the writers’ strike, her presence on set is sparking a publicity horror story of its own.

Kardashian on Friday tweeted a hello to fans from the set of one of the few shows still shooting amid the work stoppage, according to Variety. The Writers Guild of America (WGA) voted to strike in April and did so starting in May. The strike passed the 50-day mark last week.

“Hi guys! I’m on set of AHS and we have some time between shots,” Kardashian tweeted. “What are you all up to????”

About 2,700 people replied to the post, and many of them told her exactly what they were up to.

“Picketing, Kim,” tweeted “Loot” actor Joel Kim Booster.

“Striking in support of my union,” writer Jesse McClaren replied.

“Lady they’re literally on strike,” posted another user.

“They’re striking, queenie, storm off set,” tweeted social media influencer Danisha Carter.

Writers have been striking since May, as the WGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers negotiate a new contract regarding writers’ pay Everything from late-night talk shows to “Saturday Night Live” have been shut down in solidarity, for lack of writers or both, resorting to reruns — or, in the case of the Daytime Emmys, postponement. Individual actors, too, have opted out of appearances while the strike is under way.

TV writer Franchesca Ramsey did note, according to Salon, that it’s the showrunners, not the actors, who call the shots on shutting down production because there is no strike clause in the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) contract.

Kardashian’s role was announced in April, about a week before the strike vote. She is playing character Siobhan Walsh and starring with Emma Roberts, who plays Anna Alcott and Cara Delevigne as Ivory.

Despite the censure and even accusations of being a scab, the reality television star turned actress went on to tease the show’s terrifying 12th season.

“It’s gonna be gooooooodddd!!!!” Kardashian tweeted to one fan. “And scary!”
