Reality TV star Kim Kardashian experienced an emotional breakdown while reflecting on her ex-husband Kanye West‘s actions during the premiere episode of ‘The Kardashians‘ season 3.
Kardashian revealed that West’s erratic actions affected her negatively when they both went through their very public divorce, but she had to soak it all up for the sake of their children.
The SKIMS founder also shared that she “had a lot of guilt” following her breakup with comedian Pete Davidson.

Kim Kardashian Breaks Down Over Kanye West’s ‘Lies’
During the season 3 premiere of “The Kardashians,” an emotional Kardashian opened up to her mom, Kris Jenner, about experiencing anxiety attacks due to her ex-husband West’s controversial remarks and erratic actions.
While she has faced her fair share of public scrutiny, she expressed concerns about the impact these “lies” might have on their children and her mom.
“There’s been a lot going on with Kanye right now … I think at this point, I just assume everything I text Kanye is gonna be put on the internet,” she shared in a confessional per People magazine. “I can handle anything; I just get heartbroken for my mom that she has to deal with so much from so many different sides.”
The 42-year-old socialite opened up to her mom, saying, “I spent my whole morning having an anxiety attack; I felt like I couldn’t breathe all day. You know when you’re just on the verge of tears… that’s how I felt all day.”
She continued, “Even through all of the craziness of everything that Kanye says about us, I never comment, I never post… he has made up the most insane narrative about you and the tape, and we stay silent, we stay silent through all the lies.”
“Even now, he looks so down on me for my [sex] tape and brings it up all over town and the media. Like, thanks for reminding people once again,” she stated.
Kim Kardashian Is Trying To Protect Their Kids
Amid their struggles, Kardashian chose to be the bigger person and prioritize the well-being of their children above all else. The “Deep in the Valley” actress and the “Donda” rapper share four children: North, 9; Saint, 7; Chicago, 5; and Psalm, 4.
Recognizing the impact of their separation on their young ones, Kardashian made it her priority to shield them from the turmoil surrounding the divorce proceedings and West’s erratic actions by publicly displaying restraint.
Despite their differences, she consistently encouraged a healthy relationship between the children and their father, emphasizing the importance of West’s role in their lives.
“All of his shenanigans will be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be, and I have to sit here and not say anything, ever, because I know one day my kids will appreciate that. And I know that is the best thing for them,” she noted, referring to her 2007 sex tape with singer Ray J.
Kardashian added, “And by the way, I’m the one where s**t could be going down, and I get in the car, and every day, the kids want to blast dad’s music, and I’m like, ‘He’s the best!’ I put it on, and we’re singing along, and inside I’m dying because I will be his biggest cheerleader to them forever, and one day, when they can see for themselves, I’ll answer whatever they want me to. It’s a lot!”
She Felt ‘A Lot Of Guilt’ For Pete Davidson After Their Split
Following her highly publicized split from comedian Davidson, the reality star-turned-entrepreneur also opened up about her feeling of guilt, recognizing the toll her relationship drama with West took on Davidson.
In her candid revelation on her Hulu show, Kardashian opened up to Scott Disick and her sister Khloe Kardashian, noting that she doesn’t like to experience breakups in relationships.
“It’s sad … [Nine months] is a long time,” she said, adding that she and Davidson “had talks and talks” and “both of us communicated well about it.” After their split, She admitted to harboring guilt because Davidson “went through a lot” due to her relationship with West.
According to People, a source noted that the former “Saturday Night Live” star had undergone trauma therapy because of West’s threatening posts.
“The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he’s had to seek out help,” the source said at the time.
Kim Kardashian Claims Kanye West Started The Drake Affair Rumors
Kardashian revealed that West was the one who instigated a rumor that she hooked up with Drake.
“The one that was supposed to protect me—and still do interviews saying they will be my forever protector—is the one that’s hurting me the most,” she opened up to Kris during the season 3 premiere of “The Kardashians.” “He was the one that started a rumor that said I was hooking up with Drake, having an affair. Our whole marriage, he accused me of that publicly.”
“I really can’t wrap my head around how he thinks he is a protector,” she added.
The reality star shared that she’s ready to move on, but it’s hard if West continues to hurl allegations at her and her family.
“I don’t know what to do; I don’t want to be a part of this narrative,” she expressed. “It’s always just so intense. I don’t want to have a public feud with him.”
