It’s been 15 years since Kaskade and deadmau5 first paired up on “I Remember.” Today, only a little more than a full year since the two officially paired up as Kx5 for the release of their first single, “Escape” with Hayla, their debut, self-titled album Kx5 is officially out.

The full album features 10 tracks, 6 of them previously released as singles. New additions include “Bright Lights” with AR/CO, “pwdr Blu” with Brother., “Eat Sleep” with Richard Walters, and the closing track on the album, “Unobsidian.”

Even with only a few “new” songs in the final release (the amount of pre-album singles released is addressed in this recent interview by Billboard), Kx5 feels incredibly cohesive. It’s no surprise coming from two of dance music’s preeminent veterans.
