Kappa Alpha Psi hosts annual shopping spree for over 120 children in Wake County

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) — The Cary Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi hosted their annual “Shop with a Kappa” event at Walmart on Kildaire Farm Road.

The fraternity provided over 120 children with $150 gift cards for a shopping spree, allowing them to purchase items of their choice.

The only requirement was that each child select at least one item for a loved one.

Organizers expressed gratitude for the opportunity to give back to a community they deeply value.

The Kappa Foundation of Cary began this initiative in 2017 with 17 families and has since grown the event significantly. This year marked the eighth anniversary of the event.
