Jordan Peele Is Already Releasing A New Movie?

Jordan Peele is undoubtedly one of the most surprising directors of these last years. In 2017, he shocked the world with a terrifying film about racism, Get Out. And after that, everybody started seeing him as a new hope for the science fiction and horror genre in film.

His second film, Us, also disturbed a lot of his spectators with, again, a terrifying story and mise en scene, and finally, he surprised everybody with his first ever Alien movie, Nope, a very ambitious and passionating film that divided people a lot in the critics. But if you didn’t have enough with his last release, you won’t wait too long. Because Jordan Peele is already working on a new movie, guess what? It will be released in Christmas 2024, simultaneously with Avatar 3.

Jordan Peele Already Knows What the Movie Will Be About

The director has two main talents, surprising us with new elements for every movie and also being a master at teasing. Whenever we see a trailer for a Jordan Peele movie, we don’t know what the film will be about; it’s always mysterious and impossible to tell how the story will start or end. But there’s one thing for sure, every time he announces a new project since the ‘Get Out’ release, it becomes an event for all the spectators, and this was amplified by the mystery surrounding his last film, ‘Nope.’

However, even though his last movie came only this summer, people are already asking him about his following projects or even his next feature film in theaters. And contrary to what journalists thought, he answered that he was already working on it. However, as usual, the mystery is still up since we haven’t learned anything serious about it. But he gave us some exciting hints, making us think that he finally found a universe he wants to work more on.

We know that the tone will be the same as his other movies, which means comedy mixed with horror and absurdity. But another piece of information, which is the most important for the spectators, came out, and it is the film’s release date.

Dropping At The Same Time As ‘Avatar 3’

Jordan Peele’s next movie will be dropping precisely on Christmas, on the 25th of December 2024, in the US. And this simple information already surprised the whole world because releasing a horror movie during Christmas is not usual since it’s the “family month” with movies that suit the entire family. Also, the film will be dropping at the same time as Avatar 3, which might make a huge box office at that time, so the risk Jordan Peels is taking is surprising.

Analysts even say that doing that is almost a “commercial suicide,” but there might be a reason why Jordan Peele wants to drop the film at that time. Instead, people started to speculate about a horror film with a Christmas theme included in it. But that’s not all; maybe Jordan Peels wants to drop his new project at that time because he is confident about an objective he already achieved with ‘Get Out’ in 2017. In addition, Jordan Peels might want to get an Oscar out of this new project.

And for most people, that’s for sure, because releasing a film in December in the US is rarely something trivial from producers and distributors since an end-of-the-year distribution permits a movie to be well engaged in the Oscar race. Already rewarded with the “best screenplay” oscar, Jordan Peels might get another one in this category, or maybe in another one. But If It’s really what he calculated, we have to prepare ourselves to see one of his best projects so far, without a doubt.

However, the film will be released in a year and a half, so we might wait until we get the first visual or trailer. And knowing the director, we might not get any information before. Also, his production company, Monkeypaw Productions, has announced that they will make an animated movie this year. However, like Jordan Peele’s next movie, we have yet to learn about this new project, not the release date, and not even the theme. But there’s one thing for sure: it will be a surprise like every Jordan Peele project.
