The Charlotte Hornets have reportedly added three more candidates to their head coaching interview list.

The three new names to be interviewed are Jordan Ott from the Lakers, Jerry Stackhouse, and Royal Ivey from the Rockets.

Jordan Ott has been an assistant with the Lakers since 2022. Prior to that, her served as an assistant under multiple head coaches with the Brooklyn Nets. He got his start in the NBA as a video coordinator for the Hawks under Mike Budenholzer.

Jerry Stackhouse has been a popular name in head coach cycles for several years now. After a distinguished playing career, he started his coaching career as an assistant for the Toronto Raptors. He quickly was reassigned to the head coaching position of the team’s G League affiliate Raptors 905. He coached Raptors 905 for two seasons, amassing a 70-30 record, winning a championship and winning D (G) League coach of the year in 2017. He then moved to the Grizzlies staff. He spent the last five seasons unsuccessfully coaching Vanderbilt.

Royal Ivey spent 10 seasons as a journeyman backup guard in the NBA. He transitioned from player to coach with the Thunder/Blue in 2014. He’s since served on the staffs of the Knicks, Nets, and Rockets while serving as the head coach of the South Sudan national team since 2021. He has overseen their ascension to their first ever World Cup and Olympic appearances.
